Technical product information

Configure a scalable split DC charging system around the site, not a fixed retail SKU. Nova provides centralized rectification and power distribution, while Aries V2 or Hydrus terminals provide the vehicle connection and user interaction at each charging bay.

System architecture

  • Nova rectifier cabinet: centralized power equipment that converts and distributes DC power across multiple output channels.
  • Aries V2 charging terminal: the higher-performance user-operated terminal for projects requiring flexible regional connector configurations and higher-current charging.
  • Hydrus charging terminal: a compact, cost-efficient dual-CCS2 user-operated terminal for projects prioritizing footprint and deployment value.

Nova rectifier cabinet options

  • 360 kW Nova rectifier cabinet
  • 480 kW Nova V5 rectifier cabinet
  • 720 kW Nova V4 rectifier cabinet
  • Up to 12 charging connectors per cabinet, subject to the selected system configuration

Nova is the system power source. The 360, 480 and 720 kW values do not describe the Aries or Hydrus terminals.

Choose the user-facing charging terminal

Aries V2

  • Dual CCS2 configuration for CCS2-standard projects
  • Dual CCS1 or CCS1 + NACS configurations for the corresponding project architecture
  • 380 A rated / 600 A maximum per terminal in the supported configurations
  • 7-inch user interface with project-specific connectivity and backend options

Hydrus

  • Dual CCS2 terminal
  • 400 A rated / 600 A maximum
  • 7-inch touchscreen and Ethernet connectivity
  • Compact 0.125 m² footprint
  • Optional liquid-cooling upgrade up to 800 A; not included in the base configuration

Interface and certification scope

Connector and certification scope is selected by component and configuration. CCS2 projects can use Aries V2 or Hydrus. CCS1 and NACS projects use supported Aries V2 configurations. Hydrus is not presented as a CCS1 or NACS terminal.

Available evidence includes CE-RED and CB for Hydrus, version-specific CE/CB/RCM information for Nova international configurations, and configuration-specific FCC, CTEP, OCA and NTEP information for North American Nova and Aries equipment. Certifications are confirmed against the selected model and configuration during quotation. The Aries V2 dual-CCS1 workbook configuration with NTEP in progress is not presented as NTEP certified.
